On Thursday, 10th of October, the Computer Science & IT Department at the American University of Kurdistan hosted an exciting Coding Hackathon, bringing together talented participants from various universities to solve real-world problems through coding, innovation, and teamwork. The event also featured three expert panel discussions on trending tech topics, providing a platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration.

We are thrilled to announce that the University of Zakho made an impressive impact at the event:

Dr. Masoud Muhammed Hassan and Dr. Abdulhakeem Othman Mohammed participated as panelists, sharing their insights and expertise on various technical subjects.

Mr. Haval Ismael Hussein and Mr. Younis Mohammed Younis were active audience members, gaining valuable insights from the discussions.

Mr. Salar Adel Sabry, served as the supervisor of students, guiding and mentoring our team of students throughout the competition. The following students are members of the Computer Science Department team at the College of Science:

Our students, with Mr. Salar's support, competed against teams from five other universities and proudly achieved second place, earning a prize of $500 for their outstanding performance and innovative problem-solving.
